created in December 1998 by Judy & Dennis

Shepard to honor their son Matthew in a

manner that was appropriate to his dreams,

 beliefs and aspirations.

Lambda Legal is a national organization committed

 to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of

lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people

and those with HIV through impact litigation,

education, and public policy work.

Servicemembers Legal Defense Network

(SLDN) is a national, non-profit legal services,

watchdog and policy organization dedicated

to ending discrimination against and harassment

of military personnel affected by

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and related forms of intolerance.

PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay,

lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons,

their families and friends through: support, to cope

with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an

ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination

and to secure equal civil rights.

AVER is dedicated to the fair and equal treatment of all

veterans and service members, and to honoring the

strives to assure that each member of every school

community is valued and respected regardless of

sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

The Family Equality Council (formerly Family Pride)

is the national advocacy organization committed

to securing family equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual,

transgender and queer parents, guardians and allies.
